Mother’s Day Celebration

Цель: Развитие познавательного интереса к изучению английского языка.

Задачи:

  • развивать навыки устной речи, аудирования;
  • воспитывать милосердие, любовь к матери

Наглядность:

  • выставка рисунков ко дню матери, плакат “Mother’s Day Celebration”,
  • плакат с изображением вазы и вырезанные из открыток цветы,
  • коробка с открытками.

Оборудование: мультимедийная техника.

Содержание праздника

I. На сцену выходит учитель

Учитель (Teacher): Hello, boys and girls, teachers and mothers!

We are glad to see you! Today we are going to celebrate Mother’s Day.

It is celebrated on Sunday in May in Great Britain and in the USA.

It has recently become a tradition to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday in October in Russia.

II. Выходят ученики.

Girl 1:

I love my dear Mummy,
I love her very much
And do you love your Mother?
Of course, and very much.

Boy 1:

When Mummy comes to play with me,
I am as happy as can be.

Girl 2:

We have such lovely games of fun –
All round the nursery we run.

Boy 2:

Sometimes we have a game of ball,
And Mummy quite enjoys at all.
Girl3: And when I’m tired as tired can be,
She tells a pretty tale to me.

III. Встречаются 2 ученика (диалог)

Pp 1: - Hello, Why are you in a hurry?

PP 2: Oh, I’m busy. I’m running to a flower shop.

Pp 1: It’s a holiday isn’t it?

Pp 2: Don’t you remember? It will be Mother’s Day tomorrow. I’d like to buy flowers for my mother.

Pp 1: Will I join you? I want to make a surprise for my mum too.

PP 1, PP 2: (in chorus) Great! Let’s go!

IV. Игра “Цветы для мамы” (проводят учащиеся)

Girl: Do you like to play games?

Students (in chorus) Sure! Certainly! Great!

Boy: Now, we’ll play the game called “Flowers for dear Mother”.

The rules of our game

Girl: Each student comes to the blackboard, where you can see a beautiful vase.

Boy: The student names his mother’s favourite flower, takes it then puts it into the vase.

Проводится игра.

V. Ученики по очереди называют любимый цветок мамы, выбирают его на столе и приклеивают его на плакат с изображением вазы, чтобы получился букет.

Girl: Did you like this bunch of flowers?

Boy: They are beautiful!

Students (in chorus): flowers for our mothers!

Ученики декламируют стихотворения “Flowers for Mother”

Pp 1:

I never have a special day
To give flowers to my mother;
I give them to her every day
To show how much I love her.

Pp 2:

When I sweep the kitchen floor,
Or care for baby brother,
Run on errands, or make the beds,
I’m giving flowers to Mother.
Pp3: it’s lot of fun pretending
And to hear my Mother say,
“Thank you, dear, for all the flowers
You’ve given me today”.

VI. Учащиеся поют песню “Мамин день”.

The students sing a song “Mother’s Day”.
I like the way you look,
I like the way you cook;
Now that I really want to say is
Happy Mother’s Day.

VII. Guess the riddles! (Угадай загадки).

My mother’s mother. Who is she? (a granny).

My mother’s sister. Who is she? (my aunt).

My aunt has got a sister. She’s not my aunt. Who’s she? (She is my mother).

If Ann’s mother is Kate’s daughter, what relation is Ann to Kate? (She is her grandmother.)

Three manages have one sister, but this sister has no sisters of her own. Why? (Because she has three brothers).

VIII. Acting. ( Инсценировка) How we kept Mother’s Day.

Вся семья в столовой. (a father, Ann, Kate their daughters, Bill, Tom their sons)

Father: We must have a special celebration of Mother’s Day. I‘ve got a fine idea.

It will be a great present for her.

Ann: It will be a great day!

Kate: Sure, It will.

Tom: A holiday for all the family.

Bill: We’ll do everything we can, to make Mother happy!

Mother: I’m so grateful!

Father: Girls, you, decorate the house with flowers.

Girls: We ask mother to do it, because she always does it.

Mother: It’s not difficult for me.

Father: We are going to get mother a new hat.

Mother: Thank you, darling, but I like my old hat. It’s better than a new one.

Bill: We shall take mum for a beautiful drive away into the country.

Mother: I’m busy in the house. You may go yourselves. I will cut up some sandwiches and pack them.

Author: Children and their father got into the car and drove away. Mother stood and watched them. It was late evening they got back.

Mother: Oh, here you are! I’m glad you look quite healthy and restful. The dinner is ready.

Все садятся за стол ужинать. Мама ухаживает за каждым.

Father: You simply mustn’t’ do it. I want you to spare yourself. The children will wash up.

Mother: I will really much rather do it.

Дети подходят и по очереди целуют маму и желают ей спокойной ночи.

Children; Good night, mummy! We love you!

Father: I love too, dear. Good night!

Mother: Good night, my dearest! It was the most beautiful day in my life.

Зрители аплодируют.

IX. Стук в двери.

Учитель (Teacher)Who’s there? Come in.

Почтальон (Postman)

I’ve brought a parcel for you! Учитель открывает посылку. What’s this?

Oh, here are a lot of postcards. The postcards for your mothers.

Children, take them and present them to your mothers.

Учащиеся вручают открытки мамам.

X. Teacher: Mothers, we congratulate you on Mother’s Day and wish :

Выходят учащиеся.

Pp1: I wish you to be kind and clever;

Pp2: I wish you to be helpful;

Pp3: I wish you to be healthy and wealthy;

Pp4: I wish you to be the most beautiful woman in the world.

Teacher: Thank you very much for your visiting our holiday.
