I. Начало урока

- Good morning, boys and girls. How are you? Today we shall speak about ecology. There are a lot of problems on our planet nowadays. But the most serious one of the whole world is an ecological problem. People believed for a long time that whatever we did the Earth would remain the same. We know now that it isn’t true.

II. Выступление первого ученика, звучит тихая музыка.

“Environmental protection”

Pupil 1: I want you to write down your ideas of keeping the Earth clean. Do it at the end of the lesson, please.

T.: So, children, our main task is to protect our planet. But what are the main environmental problems nowadays?

T.: You are quite right. Before speaking about them I want you to do some exercises.

Have you ever stopped to think about all the problems that we face in the world around us, in our environment? Our planet has been in a state of crisis since 1990.

Do you ever think or worry about any of the world’s environmental problems?

Answer the questionnaire and find out!

a) Since 1990, air pollution has gone sky high. Governments should ban all cars from city centres to reduce air pollution.

b) Changes in the world’s weather are the most dangerous problem in today’s environment.

c) Governments should help to protect animals, birds, plants and insects in their own country.

d) Circuses and zoos are cruel to animals. They should close.

e) Looking after the oceans, sea animals and coral reefs is the most important job in the world’s environment today.

f) Governments should stop building new roads. They should protect the countryside and forests in their countries instead. That would be a breath of fresh air.

g) The world’s governments should all stop testing dangerous weapons ( nuclear bombs, chemical weapons ) completely.

h) Litter is the worst environmental problem in the world today. The problem has been serious for years. Parts of many cities are in a sorry state with so much litter on the streets.

ones to think about also. Don’t forget about them.

XI. Подведение итогов .We, Russian people are facing so many problems in our country nowadays. They are industrial and economic, educational and cultural, and ecological problems, of course. But everything is in your power. Try to do your best to save our planet, our country and our native republic. Think of the future generation.

And I want to finish our lesson with a poem about Chuvashia.

And forests, gardens, free of dust.
