Цели урока:
- познакомить учащихся с историей и достопримечательными местами Нью-Йорка – одного из самых больших городов США;
- развивать познавательную деятельность, мышление учащихся, навыков чтения и произношения; диалогическую и монологическую речь;
- воспитывать интерес к жизни зарубежных стран, любовь к родному краю и этику взаимоотношений.
Оборудование: компьютеры, учебник “Happy English 2”, карточки с записью “False”, “True”, “No information”, таблица об образовании косвенной речи. (Приложение 1, приложение 2)
ХОД УРОКА
1. Установление психологического комфорта.
а) T-P-T-P;
T. – Good morning, dear boys and girls!
P. – Good morning, teacher!
T. – How are you felling today?
P. – I am fine thanks.
T. – Are you well today? Are you all right? How are you getting on?
б) Беседа с дежурным:
- Who is on duty today? What is the date today? What is the weather like today? Who is away?
2. Актуализация знаний:
а) проверка домашнего задания (слова на стр. 244);
б) речевая зарядка Р1 – Р2 – Р3… (ученики задают друг другу вопросы).
3. Постановка и решение учебной задачи.
а) Вводная часть:
Т. – What the largest cities of the USA do you know? (Аnswers of pupils)
T. – All right, pupils! Today we shall talk about the sights of New-York. And the American girl will tell you about it too. It is interesting to know that Manhattan Island is the central part of New-York. It is a great seaport, the leading textile and the financial centre of the country.
б) История города:
T. – At first, let us listen to Ann. She will tell you about the history of New-York (рассказывает об истории города).
в) Работа на компьютерах: фонетическая зарядка:
T. – Now, pupils, open your computers, listen, read and repeat the words after me:
Words: New-York, Broadway, performance, Times, Square, midnight, thousand, The Metropolitan Museum, The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building.
г) Работа на компьютерах: ученики читают, переводят на русский язык и пишут достопримечательные места.
T. – Now, my friends, look at your computers. You are seeing the World - famous Commercial centre in New-York. If you remember , they were blown two years ago.
д) Ориентировка в тексте “New-York City” (стр. 244 учебника):
T. – Open your books p. 244. Find the information about Broadway, Central Park, Manhattan.
е) Физминутка (проводит один ученик):
T. – Stand up, please, my friends. Let? s rest now.
P. – If I call the city, you will stand up. If I call the British city, you will sit about (Cities, Washington, Manchester, Chicago, London, Philadelphia, Oxford, Los-Angeles, Glasgow, New-York, Cardiff, Boston, Birmingham, Atlanta).
4. Закрепление темы:
а) R. —>.E. Task 1: (найти из текста соответствующий перевод).
- Find in the Text on p. 245 the expressions and sentences in English. Read them out loud.
- Манхеттен – главный остров в Нью-Йорке.
- Накануне Нового года люди идут на Таймс Сквер и ждут полночь.
- Метрополитен-музей – самый известный музей искусств в Нью-Йорке.
- Статуя Свободы – символ свободы Америки.
б) Task 2: ответить на вопросы.
- Read and answer the questions on p. 245;
в) Task 3: (3–5 зад. выполняются в группах).
- Make and write the sentences, wing the Reported Speech (образовать косвенную речь).
г) Task 4:
- Invent the right and wrong sentences are True, False or there is no information. (По содержанию текста сказать, данные предложения правильные или неправильные.)
д) Task 5:
- Tell about New-York City (рассказать о Нью-Йорке).
