3. BBC 2 programmes feature lighter plays and series, comedy and sport. (+)
4. ITV consists of 14 programme companies, each serving the whole country (a different part of the country).(-)

Let’s play. Take a card, find your pair and work in pairs. Show a pantomime of the programme from your card. You can see a list of programmes and must choose the right one.

What do you know about currently television sets in Russia?
1. Look at your sheets of paper and read the text in chain:
Russian TV consists of several channels. The First Channel (ORT) is devoted to serious programmes such as documentaries, current affairs programmes, discussions. This channel broadcasts to the whole country.
Drive TV is famous for its programmes about cars, motor races. It gives you information about repairing your automobile.
MTV features music shows, chat shows and interviews. There are also commercials and cartoons for TV-viewers…
2. Find my sentences in the text and read out them:
