WHAT AM I GOING TO BE?

When I grow up, what am I going to be?
A brave captain, probably.
Captains sail from sea to sea.
So, a brave captain I am going to be.

Yes, to be a captain is good, but however
To be a doctor is much better.
Doctors cure the ill and old.
Doctors cure from fever, aches and cold.

Yes, to be a doctor is good, but however
To be a pilot is much better.
Pilots fly up very high
Into the bright or cloudy sky.

Yes to be a pilot is good, but however
To be a teacher is much better.
Teachers teach us to solve problems right,
How to count, to read and to write.

Yes, to be a teacher is good, but however
It's hard to say what is better.
To choose now, what I am going to be
Is impossible, as you see.

And you will see, if you know me then,
I shall be a good and useful man,
When I am a man.

Teacher: Your time is over. What have you done? Let's check!

Now, let's listen to the tape. Be attentive! If you have mistakes, correct them.

Whose rhyme is right?

Let's repeat this poem after the speaker.

Be attentive! At home you will prepare a good reading of it.

Teacher: Very good!

Remember the question? Now can you answer it? What is the main idea of this poem?

Children: I shall be a good and useful man,

When I am a man.

Teacher: That's right! To be good and useful is the main idea of our lesson too.

Do you agree with me?

Open your dairies and write down your home task: good reading of the poem.

Teacher: O.K. Our lesson is coming to the end. Tell me, please, what did we do at our lesson? Have you guessed the riddles?

Children: Yes, we have.

Teacher: Have you been teachers?

Children: Yes, we have.

Teacher: What have we read?

Children: A poem

Teacher: Was the lesson interesting for you?

Children: Yes, it was.

Teacher: Thank you for your work. You were very active and worked well during the lesson. Your answers were very good.

Our lesson is over.
See you next week.
