Вид нестандартного урока: урок-экскурсия.

Цели урока:

  • Обучающие:
  • формировать речевую компетенцию во всех видах речевой деятельности, путем обобщения единичных знаний по теме в систему;
  • формировать языковую компетенцию (систематизации ранее изученного материала).
  • Развивающие:
  • развивать речевые способности;
  • развитие способностей к общению, мотивации к дальнейшему овладению иноязычной культурой.

Задачи:

  • активизация лексики по теме;
  • развитие навыков монологической речи (монолог-описание) и диалогической речи;
  • развитие умения аудирования с выборочным пониманием заданной информацией;
  • повторение и обобщение формообразования и употребления глаголов в Present Simple;
  • совершенствование навыков изучающего чтения.

ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент

Teacher: Hello, boys and girls! Glad to meet you! I hope you are fine and ready for the lesson. Let’s start our lesson. Who is on duty?  Today we have an unusual lesson, we going to go to the Zoo. (Slide 1) During our lesson we are going to improve our reading, listening and speaking skills. (Slide 2)

II. Фонетическая зарядка

Teacher:  I want you to look at the Star Board, name the sound and think of the insects with the same sound.  (Slide 3)

  • / i: /  bee, beetle;
  • / ə: /  ladybird;
  • / ai /   dragonfly;
  • / əu /  mosquito;
  • / /  butterfly;
  • / æ /   ant;
  • / а: / grasshopper.

III. Целеполагание

Teacher: Now I want you to look at the Star Board, think a little and say what we are going to speak about. (Slide 4)

Teacher: You are right. We are going to speak about animals, as we have an unusual lesson today –  lesson-trip and we are going to visit London Zoo.

IV. Систематизация знаний учащихся по теме


1. Активизация лексики по теме \ совершенствование навыков изучающего чтения

Teacher: But before we star our trip we have to guess the animals. Look at the Star Board, read, try to guess, then check yourself.

  • Slide 5  – a fox
  • Slide 6  – a penguin
  • Slide 7 – an elephant
  • Slide 8 – a snake
  • Slide  9 – a monkey
  • Slide 10  – a giraffe
  • Slide 11 – a white bear
  • Slide 12 – a camel  

Teacher: Well done! I think you know that there are a lot of zoos in England and one of the biggest is London Zoo which has one of the biggest collections of the wild animals in the world. But what other kinds of animals do you know?  Let’s make a cluster. (Slide 13)

Teacher: What kind of animals can you see at the Star Board? (Slide 13)

  • A giraffe is a wild animal.
  • A horse is a farm animal.
  • A duck is a farm animal.
  • Budgies are pets.
  • A sheep is a farm animal.
  • A monkey is a wild animal.
  • A rabbit is a pet.
  • A cow is a farm animal.
  • A cat is a pet.
  • A tiger is a wild animal.
  • A bear is a wild animal.

Teacher: Great! Now let’s look through the completed cluster (Slide 14). Is it correct?

2. Развитие навыков монологической речи (монолог-описание), повторение и обобщение формообразования и употребления глаголов в Present Simple

Teacher:  So, we are at the London Zoo and our first stop will be an eagle. (Slide 15) Imagine that you work at the London Zoo, what can you tell about an eagle to the visitors, but don’t forget about grammar. Which tense do we use to describe animals?

Teacher: How do we form Present Simple?

Teacher: Now, we are ready to describe the eagle, you can use our cluster which we made during our previous lessons. (Slide15).

St.1 tells about the eagle using cluster. (The whole answer makes one student or one student to each point of the cluster)

Teacher: Well done! Do you know that each country has got a symbol? Which country has an eagle as a symbol?

St.2  tells about the eagle as a symbol of the USA. (Slide 16)

Teacher: Excellent! The next stop is Emu. Who likes this bird and wants to be a worker of the Zoo? (Slide 17)

St.3 answers about Emu.

Teacher: Who wants to answer the question – which country has Emu as a symbol?

St. 4 tells about Emu as a symbol of Australia.

Teacher: As you know, Australia has got one more symbol. Do you know it? Yes, you are right; it’s a kangaroo, that’s why our third stop is kangaroo. (Slide 18) Are there any volunteers tell about this animal?

– Do you know why a kangaroo is a symbol of Australia?

St. 4 answers about the kangaroo.  (Slide 19)

Teacher: The other stop is a bear. (Slide 20) Who can tell us about it?

St.5 answers about the bear.

Teacher: Well done! Which country has a bear as a symbol?

St.6 tells about a bear as a symbol of Russia. (Slide 21)

Teacher: We have one more stop – it’s the cage with lions. (Slide 22) and I want St.6 tell us about the lion and don’t forget name the country which has this animal as a symbol?

St.7 answers about the lion. (Slide 23)

3. Развитие умения аудирования с выборочным пониманием заданной информацией

Teacher: I want you to visit one more animal, but it’s impossible as the cage is closed. We have a chance to listen about it and complete its passport which you have on your desks (Приложение 2) and see on the Star Board (Slide 24).

Students listen and complete the passport.

Teacher: Let’s check our passports and describe the koala with the help of this passport in chain. (Slide 24)

4. Развитие навыков диалогической речи.

Teacher: As you know each Zoo has a veterinary service. I offer you to visit it. You have to act out the dialogue. Look at the Star Board and act out the dialogue. (Slide 25)

St.8 and St.9 act out the dialogue. (At the lesson only one pair of students act out the dialogue or more than one pair according to the time).

V. Информация о домашнем задании и инструктаж о его выполнении

Teacher: during the lesson you show your skills to speak about wild animals. At home you’ll make a passport for you favourite farm animal.
