Teacher: Good morning, dear boys and girls! I’m very glad to see you! How are you today?

Предполагаемые ответы учеников: I’m fine! (I’m in a pink; I’m OK; No problem!)Thank you! And you?

I’m fine, too. So let’s begin our unusual lesson. But it is our traditional lesson in the 11th form at the end of the school year. Today we’ll say ‘Good bye’ to our English lessons and thank them for our knowledge. You have been learning English for ten years. And now we have our last English lesson. You have been learning English for 10 years. Many of you can speak English rather fluently, and I am proud of you. I am very glad that seven pupils from our class have chosen English as an examination subject. I wish you good luck!

Do you remember your first English lessons? Let’s sing our first song. (A song ‘What is your name?’)

I want you to remember one of your favourite moments at the lessons – tongue-twisters.

Yellow butter, purple jelly, red jam, brown bread,
Spread it thick, say it quick.
Yellow butter, purple jelly, red jam, brown bread,
Spread it thicker, say it quicker.
Yellow butter, purple jelly, red jam, brown bread,
Now repeat it, while you eat it.

Now I want you to answer some questions. (Вопросы можно задавать устно, а можно написать на карточках, и ребята вытягивают по одному, зачитывают и отвечают. Здесь приводятся некоторые вопросы.)

When you were little children you learned many songs. And your little friends have prepared a scene from a well-known fairy tale. Watch it and try to guess the name of the fairy tale. They like to sing songs, do different projects and learn poems. Look at them, listen to them and remember yourselves.

Cinderella.

Narrator: This is a story of Cinderella. She is a beautiful girl. She hasn’t got a mother. Her father has got a second wife now, and she is Cinderella’s stepmother. She is a horrible woman. She has got two daughters, Pat and Liz. They are Cinderella’s stepsisters.

Cinderella: Good morning, Daddy, dear!

Father: Good morning, my child! How are you today?

Cinderella: Fine, Daddy. And you?

Father: Oh, I am OK, but, my child…

Cinderella: Yes, Daddy?

(Enter Lady Sybil.)

Stepmother: Cinderella. What are you doing? You are not working!

Father: But…

Stepmother: Work, girl, work. Make the breakfast. I’m hungry. I want my toast, jam, cheese and a cup of tea.

Cinderella: Yes, stepmother.

Stepmother: And you, Basil, what are you doing? Helping the girl?

Father: Er – no…

Stepmother: My daughters are coming down and they want their breakfast, too.

(Enter Pat.)

Cinderella: Good morning, sister.

Pat: Good morning, Mummy, dear.

Stepmother: And how are you today, Pat, dear?

Pat: Terrible, terrible.

Stepmother: Oh, dear.

(Enter Liz.)

Cinderella: Good morning, sister.

Stepmother: Ah, good morning, my child.

Liz: Morning.

Stepmother: And how are you today?

Liz: Terrible.

Stepmother: Oh, dear, you too?

Liz: Oh, my head…, my teeth…, oooh…

Pat: Hmmmmp! Cinderella! Where is my breakfast? I’m hungry and thirsty. I want two eggs, pudding, cookies, two cups of tea today – milk, sugar and six pieces of toast –

Liz: I want a cup of coffee… Oh, my head…

Pat: – with cheese –

Liz: Coffee. Black. No sugar. I want my breakfast now, Cinderella. Oh, my teeth…oooh…

Pat: – and an apple.

Cinderella: Yes, sister. Yes, sister. Coming.

Now the pupils of the 4th form will recite a poem for you.

I want to live and not to die,
I want to laugh and not to cry,
I want to feel the summer sun,
I want to sing when life is fun,
I want to fly into the blue,
I want to swim as fish can do.
I want to shake all friendly hands
Of all the young of other lands.
I want to work for what is right,
I want to love and not to fight,
I want to laugh and not to cry,
I want to live and not to die!

Nobody knows what you will be in the future, but two years ago some students from your class took part in the competition “How I See Our Planet in 2020?” Do you remember?

When you were younger you did many interesting tasks not only at the lessons, but in the English speaking summer club. Look at your works and guess who the author of these works was.

At the end of the lesson I want to congratulate you on finishing school:

Life is a challenge. Meet it!

I am sure that the knowledge you’ve got at school will be necessary in your future life. And at last:

Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.

Remember these words; don’t lose yourselves in the life. Don’t forget that you are school-leavers of our school Number 3! Good luck, my dear! I will miss you and always remember you!
