Цель урока: развитие навыков аудирования и говорения.

Задачи урока:

  1. практиковать учащихся в аудировании, устной речи.
  2. практиковать учащихся задавать вопросы и отвечать на них.
  3. воспитывать у учащихся уважение к истории, традициям страны изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: магнитофонная запись, видеофильм «London», проектор, ноутбук, экран, презентация.

УМК: “Enjoy English 3” (Биболетова М.З.)

Ход урока

1) Исполнительный этап:

Приветствие

T: Good morning.

S: Morning.

T: Glad to see you.

S: Glad to see you too.

T: Today we’ll have a very interesting lesson and we have a lot of guests. Greet them please.

(Учащиеся приветствуют присутствующих учителей). Thank you. Sit down.

S: Thanks.

T: Who is on duty today?

S: I am.

T: Who is absent?

S: All are present.

T: Thank you. Sit down.

  • Объяснение темы и задач урока.

T: Look at the whiteboard. The topic of our today’s lesson is “London is the capital of the UK.

Discovering more about Places of Interests in London.” So today we’ll learn more about

London, watch film about it and have an interview.

T: Open your books on page 65. Read the task, please. Now we’ll listen to the tape and then we’ll read them and translate into Russian.

T: Last time you had a homework to get some interesting information about London. So what do you know about London?

S: I know that London is the capital of GB.

S: I know that about 7 mil. people live in London.

S: I know that Big Ben is in London.

T: What is Big Ben?

S: Big Ben is a clock. It is one of the most famous clocks in the world.

S: I know that in the middle of Trafalgar Square there is The column of Admiral Nelson.

S: I know that London zoo is one of the largest in the world.

S: I know that there are a lot of double-deckers in London.

T: What is double-decker?

S: It is a bus.

T: Thank you. You’ve got very interesting facts about London. But let me introduce you come more information about this ancient city.

4) Введение фонетического правила. Чтение “O” перед буквами “N” и “M”.

T: But first I’d like to pay your attention to one of the phonetic rules. Open your vocabularies and put down the rule.

“O” is read as [Λ] before “N” and “M”. Ex. London, some.

T: Now we’ll learn new words. Open your books ex. 17 p. 66. Read the task, please. Listen to the tape and repeat. Then we’ll read them and put down the translation.

ABBEY-Аббатство-католический монастырь.

WESTMINSTER –округ в составе Лондона, на левом берегу реки Темзы. В Westminster находится The Houses of Parliament. WESTMINSTER ABBEY-собор Св. Петра, один из старейших в Лондоне. Образец английской готики. Здесь могилы Честера, Ньютона, Дарвина, памятники Шекспиру, Диккенсу.
